atticus micheal rosario
. seventeen . senior . intelligent . polite . reclusive .
Atticus is a mild mannered polite young man with some deep seated issues. At face value he comes off friendly enough to strangers- helpful and genuine but distant all the same. As a profoundly private person he keeps most people at arms length, intrinsically uncertain how to break down this barrier he's built around himself. An escapist by nature, he often times prefers the company of books over people- they are, after all, uncomplicated and honest.
Friends are few and far between. When he does make them, his eagerness can sometimes be disconcerting. Some might describe this kind of behavior as being 'clingy'. Because of abandonment issues, personal relationships can sometimes be a little rocky, but that's not to say he doesn't mean well.
Enemies are just about nonexistent, as far as he knows. Sure, there may be people who dislike him, but he remains naive to their opinions due to his lack of self-awareness. In terms of dealing with someone who dislikes him, he mostly just keeps his distance.

callie && atticus
Fraaaaaannss???
It's sort of what I'm aiming for. I put my blame in Callie never talking to him because she's never really noticed him around... but since forces will obviously push them together I don't see any reason why they wouldn't get along. He may find her big personality sort of irritating, maybe, depending on how he deals with girls like her that like to be all friendly and personal with almost everyone they meet. I know she'd find him endlessly interesting, probably moreso than he'll ever find her. She'd love to learn about botany if he's willing to share info with her, because she'll most certainly ask. So my ideal that these two would get along and perhaps even grow close because God knows Callie needs more friends she can depend on.

Somehow, I don't think Atticus will find her irritating at all! Intrusive maybe, but he's pretty even tempered so likely that would not bother him in the least. Maybe just make him react a little awkwardly. Kind of like "Who is this and why is she interested in talking to me?" Attention from girls is not something he's entirely used to. Or attention from anyone, for that matter. Her forwardness would compliment how introverted he is for sure!
They could possibly meet at the funeral service since they'll both be there, yeah? Atticus is likely to be shaken pretty bad. He doesn't deal with the idea of death very well.

Oh yay! That would be a perfect place for them to meet, yes. She might be distracted in between comforting everyone she knows but if he looks terribly hurt enough there's no doubt that she would approach him and try to comfort him, if that's okay. She and Ben weren't on good terms but she hates seeing people hurt. Sounds like a plan. <3

I'm pretty proactive when it comes to roleplaying so I'll make sure she has reason to speak with him.

So, because Callie and Isaiah are close friends, I would say that Isaiah and Atticus meet through Callie. Isaiah would be friendly, but he wouldn't really open up too much, not at the beginning at least. They have similar personalities, so I would think they would get along just fine. But with Isaiah being the way he is, that would probably take awhile.

atticus&&silas
Unless Atticus took a Psychology elective or joined the Drama Club last year, it's unlikely these two have met. They will have passed by each other in the halls, but I think when their paths do cross they will get along in a quiet, sincere fashion. Silas won't crack his shell, but he will have the patience to wait until Atticus pokes his head out. So, they may connect better in the long-term, but may for now only have surface interactions based on Callie's friendship with them both.

atticus && naomi
I think Naomi would probably be curious about him, being a new kid in town and so reserved. Having lived in Ashwick all her life she probably knows of his foster parents, (their families hardly travel in the same circles so that's about the depth of her experience with them) which begs all sorts of questions about where he's from and how he came to be in town, though she'd hardly be rude enough to come out and ask. Perhaps she'll approach him in the library some time.

atticus and isaiah// I agree that they're similar, but I don't know if they will have too much in common to really bond over. I mean, they're both kind of nerdy, but in very different ways. Isaiah is more culture nerd, which is something Atticus would not understand whatsoever. I think if we figure out some kind of common ground it would be much easier to make them friends.
atticus and silas// No, I don't think they would know each other. At least very well. I can't picture him joining drama club since the previous year he had just moved into town and it would take him some time to test the waters in any kind of extracurriculars. I guess the link between them will have to be Callie since I can't really think of anything else!
atticus and naomi// Naomi seems like such a sweetie. I really like her character! Atticus might not tell her why or where he came from at first though. Atticus does, however, have a bit of a soft spot for the fine arts which is some common ground. ALSO, they could have been in the same bio class the previous year. Maybe they could actually know each other through Ben? Just a thought!

eloise & atticus
Eloise will definitely want to be friends with Atticus, she wants to be friends with every one and she works his hardest to be kind to everyone. She would have been curious about him when he was a brand new student, and would certainly have gone out of her way to help him if he needed help. Ellie also takes school seriously and is intelligent, so in that respect I'm sure they would get along as well!

Atticus would likely think highly of Eloise and admire her finesse. He would think her to be very pretty and that would probably make him a little nervous around her, so I don't know how far she will get in her pursuits. Eloise and Atticus would probably also know each other through their families as well, so she would have a good vibe of his aloofness from family parties and the ilk.

Ellie & Atticus
I JUST REALIZED SOME OTHER THINGS!!!
Ellie and Atticus both hope to pursue careers in the medical field - and so they also have that in common. Perhaps they have spent some time studying together as well? Ellie is also taking a lot of AP classes. I also definitely think that the families would be friends, and Ellie would certainly do her best to get to know him even though he is so aloof. She would be flattered to know he thinks she's pretty <3 I also read that he is originally from down south? Ellie's mom is from old southern money - so maybe Atticus has gravitated toward Ellie's mom because of their shared southern roots, meaning that Ellie's mom is always having her run southern dishes over to Atticus' house?

Oh wow that's a great idea! You're 100% correct. Y u so smart?! Yes, Atticus has an interest in medicine and in school he spends most of his time/energy on pursuing this, not only because it's what he's in love with but also because he simply does not want to live the life that his siblings and older generations of his family have. His foster care is almost a blessing in disguise. They could have had a study group with Ben maybe? Eloise seems pretty bright and observant so if this is the case, she could have gained a little more insight on Atticus via his interactions in the study group. She could have maybe even seen the strange dynamic between Atticus and Ben, and maybe even Atticus's jealousy towards him and the sense of rejection he got from Ben.
And that's also an awesome idea. The Donahue's are very hospitable and genuinely good people who would want Atticus to feel as at home as possible. He really would appreciate that gesture as well, seeing as he misses his home very much.

Ellie & Atticus
I definitely think that she would have picked up on the strange dynamic, but probably wouldn't have said anything about it - but she would definitely be aware of it, and she would do her best to make Atticus not feel like that when she was with him and Ben. And she will definitely run over southern dishes. I'm super excited to play these two together - because I think that Ellie and he will be interesting together, and she will really like him and want to get past his aloofness <3

I'm excited as well! Atticus is definitely the kind of character who needs a little help with growing into himself and it seems like Eloise will definitely be there to help him along.
So I guess they could also be neighbors, correct?
