Silas thrives on making friends, being able to chat amiably with just about anyone regardless of age, gender, or disposition. He's a peacful, easy-going sort of person who lights up a room with his quiet enthusiasm for doing the things he loves, which are teaching and directing. Generally well liked by his students, his class is of moderate difficulty; heavy workload, but simple assignments and lots of required reading and class discussions. Silas is also a fantastic listener with a strict no-advice policy unless he's specifically asked. Those that are closest to him know that in private he can sometimes be moody and drawn in on himself, but he's always able to pull himself back out if he has the support of people who understand him and his need for space.

Silas has made a few enemies in his time, but mostly people who tire of his anxiety or find his peacemaking ways condescending. He is also fiercely loyal to a select group of people and is willing to assist them at all times, which means he will take on the enemies of his friends or family as well. For the most part, he belittles his enemies by treating them as if they are of no consequence, but if he is spurred into taking action, he does so in a way that is underhanded and not directly confrontational.

Well into his thirties now, he's been through a few failed relationships, and after the disheartening ordeal of his last girlfriend's criticism, he's ready to start fresh. Silas badly wants a family, but hasn't quite been able to find someone who doesn't look down at his profession. He hasn't really spotted anyone promising as of yet, but he hasn't even been in town for a year. He's very patient, but thinks that perhaps its time to begin looking in earnest.

You know what we have planned. At any rate, I think these two get on quite well. He's probably been there for all four of Callie's years in high school, and they've probably spent a lot of time together outside of the classroom in that setting. So I see them being able to talk to each other quite comfortably, mostly because she looks up to him as someone inspiring because of his intelligence and capabilities for the stage.

Since Isaiah is part of the drama club, they obviously know each other. They get along well enough; Isaiah would have no reason to be against him. I think he would know a little more about Silas than most students just from what Callie has mentioned. Isaiah would be comfortable around him because of their shared interest in theater, but he's not comfortable enough to open up about more personal things.

Phoenix has no love for authority figures of any kind. I would imagine this would be especially true of male authority figures, given what he's been through. Still, he knows better than to rock the boat if the time isn't right, so he isn't openly rebellious. This will change, though. Expect some serious blackmail. Oh, yes.

Given Ryan's obsession with good grades, I would think Silas would get along just fine with Ryan. Though socially shy, Ryan never hesitates to volunteer in class discussions, for class projects, and his assignments/tests are all high quality.
Ryan has also signed up for Drama club this school year, figuring it looks good on his transcript when it comes to getting into the right university.
He is, however, more than a bit nervous he is not going to like having to perform in front of people, that's not like discussion in classes afterall.
